Governor Waititu holds public Baraza with Kiandutu Slam Residents in Thika


    Kiambu Gorvernor Ferdinard Waititu held a public follow-up baraza with residents of Kiandutu slum in Thika. The purpose of the meeting was to bring the residents up to speed regarding their resettlement plans.
    The 60 representatives selected by residents to represent them during their last public baraza began a massive registration exercise of all Kiandutu slum dwellers.
    “My government has already identified resettlement areas for the exercise,” Waititu said.
    He also informed the residents that plans were underway to improve and transform Kiandutu by ensuring residents have access to basic amenities like clean water, street lighting, passable roads and a working sewerage system.
