The former Bungoma county governor and the current senate speaker Kenneth Lusaka has expressed his interest in a bigger political position come the year 2022.
Speaking yesterday in Mt Elgon region during the burial of the former Bungoma deputy governor Hillary Chongwony’s mother,Lusaka cited that he would be going up the political ladder in five years’ time.
Following Deputy president William Ruto’s remarks on his tours to western Kenya,political analysts say that the senate speaker,who is enjoying support from the president and his deputy could be made William Ruto’s running mate come the year 2022.
The analysts say that Ruto has been insisting of picking his running mate from Western kenya.
Lusaka thanked Bungoma people of the support they showed during the August general elections,calling for the same support in 2022.
He further promised to walk with Bungoma people for further development in the area.
Moreover, Lusaka assured residents of holding discussions with president Kenyatta and his deputy to ensure that the work they had started in the region continues.
He went on to call upon Bungoma residents to continue supporting the current government.
